Releasing in OS versions in sync

There are loads of subtle diffs between formatting of various versions of Tidy. In my last email, I noted that were using it to cleanup HTML held under source control. Our ideal situation is that the execution of the shell script (prior to checkin) makes no changes that will conflict with other versions of Tidy (for other operating systems). The easiest way to ensure that is to all use the same version. That suggests that y'all could benefit from coordinating releases of Tidy for each OS. Thoughts?
