Why not try it? That would be much faster than waiting for a response to 
an email.

The short answer is that you cannot expect anything to be able to correct 
every possible piece of garbage.

Tidy will do a reasonable job in most circumstances, and will do a good 
job with HTML that is not seriously malformed.
