I'd like to tell you that it's simple and "just start coding", but it isn't, 
the code is mostly straightforward C but a lot of it is undocumented. 

For start, Chris, would it be a problem to compile links-hacked which displays 
some kind of JS debugging messages?

(I'm in CET timezone so there is apparently going to be some lag in 
communication)
