MING and gif2mask

Hi,
I tried to send this a while back but it seemed to get lost somewhere... 
  Thought I'd try again since the list seems to be working abit better 
at the moment.

I'm looking for the gif2mask util for Windows. It doesn't seem to be in
ming-winutils.zip where I found png2dbl. Anyone know where I can find it?
Also, I am going to be putting the stuff I am developing in MING on
windows onto a linux server. Will I be able to use png2dbl and gif2mask
(or is there even a png2mask?) from my linux server? I don't think I am
able to recompile PHP (4.3) on this server but I do have shell access so
may be able to compile just these tools from the util directory of the
source tarball? Is this as easy as changing to that directory and typing
make gif2mask?
