Not at all! I figured we could do the connection counter thing as our
"subscribe" example, since it's the simplest one. Blogchatter has hella sizzle
-- I'm assuming a lot of people have already seen it, but we'll definitely show
it again. And chat with presence will be on the sales manager's dashboard.

My main concern with the demos is to try to get a range of them -- both in
terms of programming languages, and in terms of type of task we're good at. To
me at the moment, three main categories of thing come to mind: realtime data
viewing; flexible notifications; and lightweight integration between apps. So
let us construct a little matrix (pardon the crappy ASCII "art"):

                 Realtime | Notifications | Integration
------------|------------------|---------------------|-------------------
Browser | Blogchatter | Blog comments | Blog -> wiki
------------|------------------|---------------------|-------------------
Python/Perl | Wireless monitor | AIM bridge? | Salesforce.com
------------|------------------|---------------------|-------------------
Java | | AIM bridge? |
------------|------------------|---------------------|-------------------
Windows | RSS reader? | | Flipper?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Those are sort of projects I know to be done or in process. If you have stuff
to add to this chart, please do. If you'd rather go with a different mix, I'm
totally open to it. Hope that makes my position clearer, JP
