Re: Window size/position won't stick and runaway favorites

For the window size and position there are two possibilities:

1. Under the Window menu, there is an option to "Save Window size"  
which, when selected will cause all new windows opened to be at that  
size.
2. If you have already done this and it still isn't "working" then  
the other possibility is that you have taken a snapshot of your  
Workspace. The size and position of any open windows at that time  
(including their minimised status and the size of and the side the  
drawer is on) is preserved when you restore the workspace.

If you haven't done 2., then 1. is the solution you are looking for.  
If you took a snapshot, then you need to restore the snapshot, resize  
the window(s) and retake the snapshot to have the preferred window  
size be saved.
