It isn't emulating Opera, and I don't think it is a threat to any other browser. When using it, look in your task manager. You will see several things running, including Google updater. After closing Chrome, look again in your task manager. You will see that Google updater is still running. To me, that is invasive. I killed the updater process before uninstalling. Someone else mentioned to me that they uninstalled, but the updater remained. I think maybe they didn't kill the process first, but you still have to search for Google in your computer after the uninstall to remove the updater and Google folders.
