Thanks Hanne. I did following link to
/home/operabrowser/Install/lib/opera/plugins

libvlcplugin.so -> /home/vlc/Install/lib/mozilla/plugins/libvlcplugin.so

I restarted opera, but the vlc plugin did not show in prefs > advanced
> content > plugins. What I could be wrong here?
