Let me thank you once again for this invaluable tip, John! I somehow stumbled across 'Turn off the Speed Dial search box' (or words to that effect), and was delighted to get rid of that curiously useless-seeming and space-consuming item - and then found, when I came to do the same in my netbook, that I couldn't for the life of me find my way back to it. I had never even heard of the Preferences Editor before your message arrived! Using your method, however, I soon found the spot simply by searching for 'search'. Emptying the Speed Dial Search Type box has deleted the wretched thing and made all my Speed Dial buttons bigger and better! Now to go to the website and find the wishlist page. I can't understand why we don't have the option of a 5 x 3 grid on the Speed Dial. Cheers, Harry -- Unsubscribe: mailto:[email protected]?subject=unsubscribe
