configuring 10.63 like 10.10

I've recently switched from 10.10 to 10.63 and there are a few behaviors I'd like to work like 10.10. 1) In 10.63 pressing and releasing the Alt key brings up the menu when the menubar is hidden. Can this shortcut be disabled or moved to another key? 2) In 10.63 starting find-in-page opens a bar at the top and shifts the page contents down. Is it possible to revert to the small box at the bottom like 10.10? 3) In 10.10, middle-mouse pasting a URL onto an empty workspace would open a new tab and go to that URL.
