One way to deal with this is ctrl+f then quickly <right-click> on statusbar > Customise > Appearance, click the 'Find in page' bar, then change Placement to 'bottom'. However, now you will notice one annoying behaviour: upon making any changes in Settings > Preferences and hitting OK, the 'Find in page' bar will always pop-up at the bottom of all open tabs.
