Hi John,
using the registry as a base seems to be a good idea. However thinking this through, it will be quite some work to get this to work the way you want.
As it looks right now, I don't think I will be able to program something like this as a contribution in the near future. There are a few other things on my task list with a higher priority (e.g. converting the module to allow having 'standing orders') .
If you know php and want to try working on it yourself, I should be able to give you pointers or help you in the design phase.

I agree that this would be a nice feature to have to allow OSC to be used as a B2B tool though.
