IIS is a microsoft thing and if I am not mistaken, it cost money (knowing microsoft, it is probably lots of money!). I have a Win2k box and have installed apache and php without any problems. OSC is installed and so is phpBB. I have had no trouble with any of them. All free and all easy to use. IIS is available to me I am sure, but why give it a chance when I like apache and had it up and running in about ten minutes? There are also windows installers that will install apache/php/and some others do a quick search for "php apache installer" in google and see what tidbits are out there.
