I am sure open source doesn't mean free-for-all.  I also don't believe that the GPL license (which I think osC is under) doesn't say that you are a part "owner" and have full rights to it.

I haven't read the GPL license yet in full but the parts that I have read have been clear.  Open Source isn't free in cost, it is free as in freedom.  You are empowered with knowledge and you can see what is going on behind the curtain.  This is freedom because if you want to modify something (like offering a contrib) you are allowed to.  It also gives you the ability to do what you have done, but you must give the "original" coders their credit,  I am not sure how the credit is to be given, (money or words or both!)  I am not sure that you have done either.

I don't want to get into a pissing contest with you, because I don't like to waste time like this, and I don't have all the facts straight.  But I do understand that if someone deletes your post or modifies it in any way, it is because you have done something that goes against the rules of the forum or the licence.
