Great, I can't wait to see the result!
I did my own research into which is better Smarty or phplib.  I also checked to see the difference between some of the others.  Smarty won a lot of speed tests and simplicity tests.  There are a few different "template systems (structures, implementations, whatever) out there and Smarty seems to be one of the top dogs.  I still have no friggin clue what tep-docs looks like in a working environment.  Or how to change the templates on a working machine.  But I am sure that I will be able to do this with smarty sooner that I would be able to with tep-docs.
