Version Conflict ?

Hello, I am fairly new to OsCommerce, but I know a bit PHP.

What I did :

- downloaded OS Commerce MS 2.
(filename : oscommerce-2.2ms2.zip )
- installed it to php environemnt, works well;
- installed conrtibution for having different prices for different client groups - works well

- installed Easy-Populate;
In installation process : uploaded files like requested;
then there is a "switch" :
if you have milestone 2, you shall enter something into 
admin/includes/boxes/tools.php   - file
but this look complete different than the one mentioned in the install file.
[b]BUT[/b]
the lines above, suitable for MS [b]1[/b] look veeeeery good,
exaktly like the files i have.

My Question is now : Is ist just false alarm, or is the MS 2 Release i downloaded something screwed up ?
(do i have to care about possible inconsistencies in the code, ir is ist fine ?)
