special login for vendors

Basically, we take the orders and then the vendors get the orders from us to process them. We want them to be able to just login to a seperate site or something, and see all pending orders, and then basically clear them from their list as they get processed. I don't want them logging in to the admin page though. Any suggestions, please!! Oh, and once they process the order, we want to inform the customer by changing the status.
