Extra digits on credit card

Credit cards have an extra 3 digits at the end which are printed on the back of the card i.e signature strip, and 4 digits printed on the front of an Amex card. These are extra security numbers that should be asked for when doing a card not present transaction. Has anyone done a mod for adding it to the checkout process? If not is it possible that someone could do it ? I think its a feature that many people would like on there store and would appreciate it being available in contributions if not added into the standard oscom itself as a feature to either have on or off in admin. I dont know enough to do it hence the request. I welcome all replies and or discussion :wink:
