Well I'm trying to work out my particular tax madness using the "City Tax Rate Hack for MS1" contribution which is mentioned earlier in this thread. But it seems flawed to me. Anyone else notice this (and even better - fix it)?

Specifically, your database query doesn't look right. It looks to me as if it will return an array of ALL the addresses that are linked to that customer. This means that if ANY of those addresses has a city and state that you've picked out for special tax treatment below, it will apply the special tax rate.

At least that's what it was doing on my site. I have a test customer with a San Francisco, California billing address and several shipping addresses (one in SF, one in CA but not SF, one outside the country). No matter which shipping address I select, it always charges them the special San Francisco tax rate.

I'm gonna start trying to figure this out and fix it tonight, but if anyone else has already worked it out, please reply here or PM/email me.
