Perhaps with a bit of alteration it could be utilized in a manner that you are suggesting. I think it is called "CoolMenu" but am not certain on that. If I had the time I would look at it but right now I am looking at a way of generating stylesheets from the database instead of having an individual one to control every site. I am trying to actually get a branded site system that will allow me to run several URLs all with different appearances through one database and keep track of what site they came from. The affilliate packages did this at one time but are very disconnected and do not run together on MS2. The new template base contrib seems to be a step in the right direction for such a project.
