The osC goto function (on main site...not shop)

I was checking out the featured sites when I got a great idea....when using things like manufacturers links on your site...how great would it be to keep a header telling the customer the name of your site, and a link to get back. This way, when a customer clicks on a link that brings them to an outside page, they will remember who sent them there...

It would be great if someone on the team wanted to explain how this is accomplished.....a URL is provided below to display the end-result I am looking for in a graphical manner.
