Not working anybody have any advice

Hey folks,

I have the version 5 of the fully loaded snapshot.  I have added the attribute sorting and coppier 5.1.  I've commented a few things out such as the right column and did some minor rearranging of tables, but no major modifications.

I installed this mod and it sorts properly on the admin page but does not appear to do anything at all in the actual catalog.

I know I'm being somewhat vague, but I'm fairly new to php in general and oscommerce in particular. 

Can anybody point me in a direction to look?  It'd be much appreciated.
