From personal experience and not speaking for the Team, what has happened to me is; a suggestion get made during a meeting, along with 50 others, the ones more like to finally be acted upon were ones that were written down so that we had something to remind us of what we talked about. When there are so many other changes occuring, it is very easy to talk about something that should be done but, it doesn't get remembered. Am I making sense?

I don't see why not. You will probably want to be very specific about what you are looking for as far as imput goes and keep things from getting way off topic as you are "brainstorming" but, that might be a good place to start.
