For simple ordering, I agree.  But bear these in mind...most users of an ERP system are big enough to...

[list]have specific price lists for each customer.  
allow customers to see their own descriptions of your products. 
have different stock allocated to different customers, so an item could be in/out of stock for different customers
have different minimum order conditions for customers
have different shipment types based on items ordered

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see osC front-ending an ERP system.  I wouldn't use anything else for my own shop having used it.  But the approach is not right for a true front end to an ERP system.  Remember, at least 90% of ERP users (or is it eCollabaration these days  :D ) are dealing with registered customers with B2B, osC is more B2C.
