1.2 ghz ITOX rack mount 512 ram running Free BSD with MySQL version 3.23.52 and delay_key_write enabled. Since no one else had mentionned issues like this on the mailing list I was beginning to think that I might be the only one experienceing these same issues. Can I ask what kind of hardware you are using for your database, which database (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle?) and is it a dedicated server?
