[phpOpenTracker-User] phpOpenTracker Error: Could not connect to database.

Hi List,

I have installed phpOpenTracker on my local machine and setup a remote MySQL database using InnoDB script. Managed to log different pages from localhost and then get a report using simple report script, works great, but when I upload the same installation of phpOpenTracker to my remote server and run a script with:

phpOpenTracker::log( array( 'document' => 'pagename' ));

it tells me:

phpOpenTracker Error: Could not connect to database.

I'm puzzled.

My other PHP scripts can connect to this database both from local and remote server without a problem and all they need to know is db_host, db_name, db_user and db_password. No port or socket information required.

I also get the same error when trying to run a simple report script on the remote server.

I have noticed that apart from phpOpenTracker.php in /conf directory, there is another file called config.php inside phpOpenTracker directory and that all the db settings are set to default there, so I changed them to match my db, but still no success. I knew that it wouldn't work, because it worked on my local machine without changing config.php, but I just do not know what else I can do.

Please help.
