Hello--

I have been having trouble with the split_tables.php tool and my
web research about the issue has led me to subscribe to this list
where I hope I can find some help.

I ran the script on my 1.5 installation of phpOpenTracker. I
first set db_type to MySQL_merge. When I executed the script, I
received an error about an undefined function, createMergeTable.

In looking at the database, I can see that the new monthly tables
were indeed created, but the data was not moved into them, and
the front end of the app now generates errors about tables not
being found.

I found another post in the mailing list archives from just
yesterday recounting a similar issue with split_tables:
http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.web.phpopentracker.general/766

I also found a post from May where a user attached his modified
version of the script, which apparently works well.
Unfortunately, the download appears to be corrupt:

In addition, there's a note in Google's cache about how the
split_tables.php script was removed from the package back in 2003
because it "never really worked". The version of the script I
downloaded just last week is 1.4 2003/12/05, so I'm wondering if
this is that same script has just never really worked (and if so,
why it would still be offered as a download...)

Any ideas, suggestions, or a link to download that "working"
version of the script?

Thank you in advance!
SAM :)
