Wink, Which user account are you running Pixory under? On my panther PB, I run Pixory under the joe account, and my album directories look like this: drwxr-xr-x 11 joe joe 374 30 Dec 14:44 . drwxr-xr-x 9 joe joe 306 13 Jan 04:18 .. -rw-r--r-- 1 joe joe 12292 30 Dec 15:26 .DS_Store drwxr-xr-x 35 joe joe 1190 30 Dec 15:26 .album -rw-r--r-- 1 joe joe 1164009 11 Nov 09:17 IMG_0203.JPG -rw-r--r-- 1 joe joe 422739 11 Nov 09:17 IMG_0204.JPG -rw-r--r-- 1 joe joe 755221 11 Nov 09:17 IMG_0205.JPG Why don't you try using "chown -R" and "chgrp -R" on one of the broken album directories to change the owner and group of the directory (and on down) to the user account that runs Pixory.
