The two functions use the exact same piece of java code and are using the same smtp server. The only difference is that the credentials are sent as MIME type "text/plain", whereas the invitation is sent as "multipart/alternative", where the alternatives are "text/html" and "text/plain". For the time being, there is no section of the application for a "viewer" to perform configuration. It's a matter of taste. You can always send them to the "front door", that is the "viewer home". The url for the "viewer home" is the simplest: <hostname>:<port>. From there, they can see the suggestion to login and follow that link.
