Make it member only post. NO group should allow a person not a member to
post EVER IMHO, period.
This it the ONLY way to substantially reduce spam. The next step is
moderation but that should not be needed.

I am really surprised at this, I am on 30 groups in Yahoo and as far as I
know this would be the only one to allow a non member to post. If a person
is interested enough to post they must take the simple step of joining, it
only takes seconds.

If you want to be really nasty, and I don't ask for this, you could refuse
to validate members until they return an email that you send them, thus
confirming identity.
