PNG problem

Hi,
I am having diffuculty with png's.
(quick background)** I am using Mac OS 10.3, with the most recent
version of pixory. I have existing iPhoto libraries that I am going
to use.**
If I have a png preloaded into my library (via iPhoto), a broken
thumbnail will show up, and if you click for original/ fullsize image
it cannot find the file.
If I transfer a png to the library, via pixory, again a bronken
thumbnail will show, but when you view the original/ fullsize it will
show the file.
