Sounds like you have answered your own question. I suspect (though I'm
not sure) that GMail will not let you use your account as an SMTP
relay (probably hard to protect against becoming a spam launcher).

Your ISP should supply you with an SMTP server for outgoing mail--
most do. If they don't, you could try something like DynDNS's "MailHop
Outbound" service. That'll cost you, of course, but I don't know if
it's possible these days to find a service that will provide you with
FREE outgoing SMTP.

You're on the right track. The invitation mechanism in Pixory simply
sends out email on your behalf. You could just as easily send the
email manually (so to speak ;)) yourself, and include the URL for the
Album in the message. You can use this technique for _any_ share
method, not just Anonymous URL. Regardless of share method, Pixory
_always_ uses "Permalinks" for album URLs: that is, URLs that are
constant over time and across users.

To get the "Permalink" for an album, simply open an Album Page from
the Lightbox. The URL to that page is a Permalink, even from the
Lightbox. Then, the URL to the Album Index (the icon with the four
little boxes on it) is a Permalink to the front-door of the album.

joe
