[Pound Mailing List] No Logs, Pound on FreeBSD 10.0

In an attempt to find a solution to my problems in OpenBSD, I setup a pound
server on Freebsd 10.0.
Until now we did not expirience any hickups, except there are no logs being
written in /var/log/messages, other than every few minutes there is an
entry as follows: "hostname pound: Control "/path/socket/pound.socket"
bind: Address already in use"

In syslog.conf I created a new log location "DAEMON.*" in "/var/log/daemon"
i changed the pound.conf accordingly, so i get the pound log in a separate
file, since the daemon log does not exist on freebsd i chose to replicate
the log structure of openbsd.
Now i get the "address already in use" error in the daemon log file i
created above but still none of the typical pound log output. Is there
something I am missing?
Changing the loglevel from 5 to 3 or even 2 did not help.

Freundliche Grüsse
Nino Fink
