Hi Louise,

In order to stop Chrome from routing through Privoxy you'll need to edit the proxy configuration. To do this, go to Settings.. Advanced Settings.. then click Change Proxy Settings in the Network section. Now I'm on a Mac not Windows, so I can't tell you what the next window'll look like in your case, but you need to disable any proxy settings for the HTTP and HTTPS protocols - this will mean that Chrome no longer goes via Privoxy. Strictly speaking it is still installed, but it'll no longer be active.
