PATH_INFO problems

We recently got a bug related to PATH_INFO not being set: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=517921&aid=1670697&group_id=67445 I'm not really sure what to do with this. I don't think I agree with the submitter that we should switch from using PATH_INFO to using some other environment variable and I think he can potentially solve his problem by setting the AcceptPathInfo directive appropriately. Given that, I'm thinking I'm going to add a note to the manual, but otherwise reject the bug. Any thoughts on this? Has anyone else had problems with PATH_INFO?
