Here, in my wsgi setup, absolute_path is:
/path/to/my/datadir/category/category2/blogpost.txt
absolute_path: "category/category2"
/path/to/my/datadir/blogpost.txt
absolute_path: ""
That check for the existence of absolute_path is really not needed IMHO.
