Makes sense to me.  I long ago moved to a static website generator that 
I was writing (partially inspired by pyblosxom).  I like (py)blosxom for 
it's simplicity, but for the kind of sites I run, I don't really need 
all the overhead of a dynamic platform.

Actually, I moved away long enough ago that I've since retired that 
script too to move to Octopress.  And then from Octopress to nanoc :)  
Octopress is great but a bit too oriented towards blog style posting; 
it's kind of annoying to get pages that live outside of a chronological 
blog.  nanoc is more flexible but took a good deal longer for me to 
tweak to my liking.  It's less ready to go out of the box - a snazzy, 
blog ready setup would help that project a lot.

I'll take a look at this volt project.  Sounds like it could be 
interesting.
