"plugin has no version" doesn't really ring any bells.  Perhaps you can 
cut and paste the error you get from ./pyblosxom.cgi .  Also, what's the 
error that you get when you have the comments plugin loaded?

What version of PyBlosxom are you running?  What OS and what webserver?
