weird #comments error in rss validator

hello!

i got my blog going and for all the warnings about pybloxsom not being
easy to use or whatever on the web site, i found that the only problems
i had were with my own wacky localhost set up.  well, i spent a little
time with comments and decided that i did not care enough about them to
want to spend the time fighting spam there.  people can email me if it
is that big a deal to them....

my first job, once the thing was online for real was to check the
validators.  i guess that since i clicked through the comment line
before removing all mention of them it got remembered somewhere:

any developers who follow this list, nice job.  up to and including the
modifying the mtime scripts.  that was way too much fun :)

any hints about how to get the feed to understand that there are no
comments now?
