I'm voting that the issue is that the code in your templates is causing
Firefox to render the page differently than you hope.

I ran your page through the validator:

http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bagofspoons.net%2Fcgi-bin%2Fpyblosxom.cgi

First off, the document says it's xhtml1-strict, but it definitely doesn't
validate as such. Stating it's xhtml1-strict will cause Firefox to render
it as if it really were xhtml1-strict, so that could be the problem.

Second, if you keep skimming through that error output, there's a series
of issues with div tags and p tags which could be causing issues, too.

I would work on cleaning that output up and then see if your page is
rendering correctly.

Hope that helps--
