How to get comments.py work?

I can't find any documentation on exactly what I'm supposed to do. I've
1. put comments.py in my plug-in directory.
2. enabled it in config.py
3. use the variable $num_comments in story.html, it correctly reports (0
comments) on my test entries.
4. Make sure sure PyXML is installed, yep `from xml.sax import make_parser,
SAXException` works on my web provider.
4. What to do next? I note that Ian provided some flavours (semisphere), I
copy those to my data directory {comment-form.html, comment-story.html,
comment.html} and apache croaks?!
