Help with understanding code

I'm rather new to programming and python and find the pyblosxom code
to be very educational.

I was hoping someone would be open to having some dialog with me to
clear up some questions I had with the code. Going step by step
through the process, it's all very clear until the callbacks.
Specifically the defaultfun, donefunc, and mappingfunc. I've read the
docs, and while I have no doubt they are wonderfully clear, I still
need some concrete example.

Perhaps explicitly going step by step through the process of opening
the blog entries, and show how the callbacks process them.

If anyone has the time or motivation to discuss this with me, I would
appreciate it.
