Thanks, but now I'm even more confused than I was before. :-)

Those two pages give very different answers.  Wikipedia doesn't
address tagging in RSS, but the example they give for HTML looks like
<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/folksonomy" rel="tag">folksonomy</a>

The tags plugin, on the other hand, seems to say that each user
should invent a new syntax for tags, but it gives as its example:
<span class="tags">Tags: biking, pennsylvania</span>
(I'm not clear whether this also extends to RSS or not).

That's a nice answer to the question "Why use tags?" But my
question remains, "How do I add tags to my pybloxsom blog entries?
What tag syntax do external search engines look for?"
