Uh, I'm not really > explaning myself well here. Do you understand what I'm getting at? If I had my druthers, I would focus on slimming down pyblosxom and making adjustments to the API so that it makes it easier to make plugins to fix problems like this rather than adding more functionality to pyblosxom. If we fix the caching thing and then the filestat callback, people can embed the mtime in the entry itself. I think that's a better solution since it keeps all the data about an entry inside the entry rather than continuing to spread it across different data things. Still, it's an interesting idea to have pyblosxom store its understanding of things somewhere rather than figuring everything out each time. We should keep that in mind--maybe it'd help us solve other problems as well. On a side note, it's kind of a shame I haven't got a way to figure out which people are using which plugins. If I could do that, then we could test out functionality by putting it in a plugin, get a baseline for how many people use it, and then decide on whether to pull that functionality into the pyblosxom core. On a side side note, for those of you who use plugins that you found in the registry, take some time to look up those plugins in the registry and comment on them. Note what kinds of hurdles you crossed when setting up the plugin, whether you had to make code changes, things you'd like to see in future versions of the plugin, ... That information is helpful to everyone including the developer and may spawn plugin fixes and ideas from other folks in the community. /will ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by Shop4tech.com-Lowest price on Blank Media 100pk Sonic DVD-R 4x for only $29 -100pk Sonic DVD+R for only $33 Save 50% off Retail on Ink & Toner - Free Shipping and Free Gift. http://www.shop4tech.com/z/Inkjet_Cartridges/9_108_r285
