Here is my two cents. I would like all of my meta-data to be saved at the top of each entry. And then all of this data to be propagated to one global meta-data file. This file would keep track of the entry's date, filename, category, etc. This would mean that A: Pyblosxom would never have to traverse your entire directory structure, except when the global meta-data file is updated. B: The structure of your entries could be handled in ways other than the category system that is currently used (for example I would like to keep all my entries grouped according to when I wrote them maybe a directory for each month, but to the user they would appear to be grouped in categories.) The category would essentially be another piece of metadata saved at the top of a file.
