Location: on site meeting in Rockville, MD 1x/week, plus 2x week meetings in
Crystal City, VA. The balance of hours can be on telecommute 
Duration: 3-5mos (may be extended) 
Start Date: Roughly Aug 1st 
Rate: 80-90/hour 

We work for big clients with big problems, who need a wide array of help,
ranging from executing pre-determined visions to building full-scale
solutions from an initial set of high-level requests. The Information
Architect will translate the client's business needs into a functional
approach, work in lock step with the development team to build the system on
budget and on time, and ensure the overall quality of the work through
delivery. You will produce sitemaps, wireframes and process flow, construct
taxonomies, content matrixes and write documentation and requirements. You
and be responsible for ensuring that the product delivered is the product
envisioned. Candidates must have at least 4 years of applicable experience.
Experience with federal agency Intranets is a HUGE plus.  

* Understanding of content management systems (CMS), such as Sharepoint and
Drupal 
* Must be familiar with standard sitemap and wireframing tools such as
iPlotz, Balsamiq, Axure, etc 
* Comprehensive knowledge of the principles and concepts of web-based
software development 
* Skills with building taxonomies and applying this to content for search
engines 
* Must have UI/UX experience 
* Experience with Agile development methodologies such as SCRUM, Extreme
Programming (XP), or a phased iterative methodology such as the Rational
Unified Process (RUP) 
* Experience with federal agency Intranets is a HUGE plus
