- This is a full time salaried or hourly paid role 
- Salary to 150k + benefits or Contract to 90/hour 
- The hired designer will work on-site in Newark, NJ (5-minute walk to PATH
train)
- Citizenship: Required. Green Card Ok 

Our Newark, NJ client is seeking an innovative and highly motivated
User-Experience Designer to join their effort to raise the bar in creating
novel mobile experiences. The UX Designer will work collaboratively with
design leads, product managers and development teams to design interactive
prototypes on various mobile platforms. The position requires a sharp focus
on user needs, a data-driven approach and expertise in some of the best
prototyping tools. The ideal candidate will be able to lead through
ambiguity with a systems design approach in in a resource-constrained
environment.

Basic Qualifications: 
* At least 4 years of experience as a user-experience designer, interaction
designer, information architect, or in a similar role 
* An online portfolio demonstrating relevant experience 
* Fluency in best practices for mobile (Android/iOS) information
architecture and navigation schemes 
* Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator,
proto.io or in using other similar tools 
* Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with
developers for implementation of designs 
* Street smarts; willingness to roll up the sleeves and do whatever is
necessary to meet team goals 

Preferred Qualifications: 
* Experience in Instructional Design is highly desirable 
* Bachelor's degree in interaction design, human-computer interaction (HCI),
or equivalent professional experience 
* Ability to prototype using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS 
* Experience with usability testing in agile/scrum environment 
* Excellent communication, presentation and persuasion skills; demonstrated
success building buy-in for an innovative, bold and strategic vision
