setting the sitemesh.factory entry with jboss

Hello, I have recently created my own factory object for sitemesh and I wanted to use it by setting the sitemesh.factory jndi environment entry in jboss. I noticed that the jboss init() method for the filter is called while the app server is booting so it is hard for me to register with jndi before this. I was wondering if there was a common way of doing this that I am not aware of.
