Is it possible to have more than one layouts

Lets assume that we have a site which requires 2 layouts(layout = mainDecorator.jsp) Since sitemesh maps to the "main" keyword only it is not possible to have two layouts. My doubt is, is it possible to have a main as a blank one which is mapped to one of the two reqired layouts for eg. main1 as default and have it mapped to main2 as and when the requirement arises.
