Meta data in decorator

Has anyone ever gotten a decorator to pull data from a meta tag like
this:

<meta name="author" content="[email protected]">

Will Iverson's article talks about it here:

http://today.java.net/pub/a/today/2004/03/11/sitemesh.html

..but there is no WAR file to download, and this kind of functionality
is not
in the 2.0.1 example app. Thanks.
